First Yaya made a successful pilot telecast as it topped the rating board on Monday, March 15.
First Yaya‘s premiere has its simulcast airing on three channels–GMA Network’s main channel, GTV, and Heart of Asia. It scored a combined rating of 23%; 19.6% on GMA Network, and a combined 3.4% on GTV and Heart of Asia.
The Kapuso teledrama’s rating is 14.1% higher than its rival FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (that scored a combined rating of 8.9% from Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5).
Meanwhile, the show’s lead star Sanya Lopez thanked those who watched the pilot, which resulted in a high rating.
In a tweet, Lopez shared the rating board for Monday, March 15 with a caption: “Thank You (pray emoticon, teary-eyed emoticon, heart emoticon)”

Meanwhile, the pilot episode showcased Melody’s (Lopez) work as an OFW. While everything seemed perfect, her agony came when she returned to the Philippines and found out that her boyfriend is having an affair with her sister, who happened to be pregnant.
Another heartbreak came after when she had to come back to the Philippines because their father died.
But the main highlight of its premiere is her first meeting with President Acosta (Gabby Concepcion), who saw her crying by the roadside and gave her his handkerchief.
