GMA Network’s First Yaya had record-breaking ratings for the world premiere of its first-week episodes.
It was on Monday, March 15, when the series premiered. Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion star on this Kapuso Telebabad line-up that replaced the series Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday.
The pilot episode of First Yaya received a 23% rating on GMA Network’s main channel, according to the Nielsen Phils TAM NUTAM People Ratings.
The series is also simulcast in other channels–GTV and Heart of Asia which had a 3.4% combined rating.
First Yaya’s pilot episode rating was considerably higher than the pilot episode of Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday, which only earned a 10.2% rating.

The following episodes of First Yaya for its first-week premiere received ratings of 23.4% (Tuesday), 21.6% (Wednesday), 22.2% (Thursday), and 22.1% (Friday).
It follows the story of Melody Reyes (Lopez), who will enter the house of Vice President Glenn Acosta (Concepcion) as a nanny.
The pilot episode showcased Melody’s work as an OFW. While everything seemed perfect, her agony came when she returned to the Philippines and found out that her boyfriend is having an affair with her sister, who happened to be pregnant.
But the main highlight of its premiere is her first meeting with Vice President Acosta, who saw her crying by the roadside and gave her his handkerchief.
In the upcoming episodes–it will become more exciting. Melody has accepted Glenn’s offer to be a nanny to his children.
