Hot off the heels of debuting their first-ever single, Balcony Entertainment’s powerhouse duo SUZARA is seemingly on a proverbial roll and on fire with the release of their latest sophomore single “With You,” which dropped March 24th on all digital music platforms.
As fresh-sounding and undeniably feel-good as the single is, cousins/songwriters Top and Bolichie have effectively channeled their shared-love and influence from vintage 80s pop /rock (reminiscent of acts like The Outfield, John Waite and The Police…) as the track proves to be oozing with an abundance of positive vibes, and lyrically delivers a meaningful message of love, commitment, gratitude and devotion to loved ones. Truly, it is a song that brings comfort and puts a smile on anyone’s face, during these troubled times.
“It all started during an early morning bathroom break,” shared Top of the genesis of the track. “While I was in the bathroom, the melody and the words kept ringing in my head, so I took notes on my phone, and when I felt it was close to done, I went back to bed…” Top laughs. “The next morning, I told Bolichie about it, and by the evening I was recording the song in my living room. From then-on, after a few suggestions from Bolichie, I recorded the song once more and we knew it was done… nothing to add, nothing to take away.” Top also shares that the main inspiration for the words was none other than his wife, Rom.
“But the beauty of a song like this is it can be about anything or anyone,” adds Bolichie, when asked about his perspective on the track. “It’s definitely one of those songs that anyone can own – a way to sincerely say how much we appreciate and love a significant other.”
Produced by Top, Bolichie and Balcony Entertainment CEO [and critically acclaimed songwriter/performer] Rico Blanco, “With You” is a sure-fire hit for music fans of all ages, and most notably, finds Suzara at its most potent, musically as it pays homage to classic influences yet presents itself in a fresh, hard-to-ignore musical fashion. It is also the follow-up to their recent debut outing “MTM (Magkakasama Tayong Muli)” released last February.
