Crystal Voice of Asia Sheryn Regis released her new single Tulad ng Dati.
In an interview, Sheryn related her new single to people who went through ghosting and the pandemic.
“Itong kantang ito, napaka-relatable sa lahat ‘no. Kasi hindi naman siguro ako lang ang nasaktan at na-ghost sa panahong ito, especially sa pandemic,” said Sheryn.
She then recounted her own experience of ghosting when she was younger.
“Oh Yes, Kaya damang dama ko ‘yung pagkanta ko. Kasi nakarelate talaga ako. Kasi iba eh. Iba yung ma-ghost ka eh. Iba ‘yung paasahin ka lang. Masakit talaga ‘yun. ‘Yun feeling ko at emotion ko ‘nung ma-ghost ako. Totoong emotion ‘yun,” said Sheryn.
As for her return to the Philippines, she highlights her passion for music. She also declared that nothing compares to Original Pinoy Music (OPM).
“Yes, pumunta ako ng America, doon ang dami ko ding natutunan sa America sa pag-stay ko doon. Walang katumbas ang pagbibigay ko ng passion ko, about my music, because para sa akin ha, walang makakatumbas ng Original Pinoy Music,” said Sheryn.
Finally, as she returns to Star Music, Sheryn says that the music label is her motherland, wherein they will nurture and groom her for her comeback in the Philippines.
“I’m back to my motherland. I’m back to the womb of my mother, na alam ko inu-nurture ako, aalagaan, igo-groom ako into another beautiful flower,” said Sheryn.
Sheryn released Tulad ng Dati as her homecoming single in Star Music. She was part of the first season of ABS-CBN’s Star In A Million in the early 2000s, arguably the most successful batch of the reality TV singing competition.
