Crystal Voice of Asia Sheryn Regis reacted to her title, Queen of Prepositions. She explained that it was because of her hit song, Come In Out of The Rain.
In the media conference for her homecoming single, Tulad ng Dati, Sheryn explained the origins of her title, Queen of Prepositions. She traced it back to her 2004 hit song Come In Out of The Rain.
“Some people really call me Santa Sheryn or Saint Sheryn Regis because of the song Come in out of the rain, because of the prepositions used for that song. I am not the composer, dinerekta lang sa akin ‘yung title na Queen of Preposition just because of that song. Kasi litong lito sila kung ano uunahin,” said Sheryn
As for her comeback, Sheryn said that she felt hesitant to return. However, she mustered up her courage and returned home.
“So after three years na pabalik balik ako dito ng two months-three months, iba eh, parang kulang talaga eh. Tsaka hesitant din ako na bumalik, because baka hindi ako i-welcome ulit or hindi ako masuportahan. Baka wala na nakakakilala sa akin. Ito lang talaga ‘yung courage ko,” said Sheryn.
She also highlights the support she received from her management, her family, and Star Music.
“With the support of my management and pamilya ko, at syempre, dumagdag pa, na winelcome ako ng Star Music sobra, I feel so blessed,” said Sheryn.
Finally, Sheryn noted that singing supports her financially, spiritually, and physically.
“Ito yung certain na certain ako, na ito talaga, ang nagbubuhay sa akin, ang bumubuhay sa akin, ang pagkanta. Hindi lang financially ha, kung ‘di spiritually, physically, lahat eh,” said Sheryn.
Sheryn released Tulad ng Dati as her homecoming single Star Music. She was part of the first season of ABS-CBN’s Star In A Million in the early 2000s, arguably the most successful batch of the reality TV singing competition.
