In the press conference of her upcoming movie with Director Darryl Yap, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta shared an encounter with an unnamed newbie artist and roasted this person for his or her snobbish attitude towards seasoned actors.
Sharon took a subtle swipe at younger talents to expect seasoned actors to know them because they are artists.
“Minsan nga may makikilala ako na mas bata sa atin, may mga parang ini-expect nila kailangan kilala mo na sila dahil artista sila,” said Sharon.
She then revealed that the encounter with the unnamed young artist happened during a Christmas Special in ABS-CBN. Sharon also added that they would usually pay respects to senior actors during her earlier days in showbiz.
Sharon then schooled the younger actors noting that seasoned actors have learned a lot throughout the years.
Finally, Sharon said that she feels sad when asked about her reaction to the incident. She also highlighted successful young actors who pay respect to their elders.
“Sad ako pag ganon, pero nakakatuwa, kung sino pa yung mga sikat ngayon, sila yung mababait. sila yung magagalang, kaya sila sikat,” said Sharon.
Aside from calling out young talents, she also called out artists who spread fake news in exchange for money in the same zoom conference.
Now, Sharon will star in the upcoming film Revirginized. Directed by Darryl Yap, who helmed provocative films such as, Jowable, Gusto Ko Maging Pornstar, and Tililing, the movie also includes seasoned actors Rosanna Roces, Albert Martinez, Cristina Gonzalez with Marco Gumabao as Sharon’s leading man.
