Why You Should See It:
Royce Cabrera’s initial appearance as a lead character in a Kapuso TV series is filled with charming mystery—not solely because of his manly appeal, but also of the brimming chemistry, he is able to create with Cristofani.
The third of the light, fun, and feel-good love stories, under GMA Public Affairs’ new romance fantasy drama anthology, My Fantastic Pag-Ibig, ‘Ghosted’ offers a glimpse to the world of those getting dumped unceremoniously. Anyone who’s been in a relationship, where the other party just magically disappears, can relate to this latest feature, but there could be something more than its being relatable that viewers will dig this for.
Former Kapamilya star and boys love actor, Royce Cabrera, is living his leading man dreams now that he is at the Kapuso yard. Obviously a detour from the heavy and emotional roles he played in various web series and tv series, ‘Ghosted’ throws into the spotlight Cabrera’s ‘light and cheesy’ side—although this doesn’t mean he won’t be exercising here his impeccable as a dramatic actor.
In ‘Ghosted’, Gio (Cabrera) has ‘ghosted’ many ladies before, but when he found someone he can finally be serious with, an unfortunate accident suddenly turns his life upside down, by giving him a taste of his own medicine—although not exactly. He became a ghost. His girlfriend, Shine (Cristofani), suspects she just fell victim to Gio’s ghosting spree, and now decides that she will move on. Until a call from Gio’s best friend, Daniel (Ramos), stops her from doing so.
In the series, Long Mejia plays as the fabled Tagabantay—or simply, Mr. T—who assists lost souls who are scheduled to cross the afterlife. Now at the limbo, Gio’s coming back to life is very unlikely, but a very ambitious undertaking may get his soul back to his body. From this, things are expected to get Gio and Shine’s love story to a satisfying end, but who knows? Succeeding episodes are set to shed light upon this matter.
My Fantastic Pag-Ibig’s Third Feature, Ghosted, airs over GMA-7’S sister channel, GTV, every Saturday. Watch the highlights of the pilot episode, below:
