Earlier this Monday, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has partially blamed the masses for the massive increase in Covid-19 cases in the Philippines.
“Umiikot din po ako halos araw-araw, pumupunta ako sa mga palengke, na parang hindi na nasunod ‘yong naka-gano’n po Mr. President, tapos ang face shield naka-gano’n na lang eh, parang token lang ang compliance,” blamed Duque.
Contrary to Duque’s statement, he, along with President Rodrigo Duterte and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque was criticized by netizens as they were captured wearing their face masks improperly.
Now, a DDS propagandist named Jam Magno also blamed the public for the improper use of face shields as a factor for the increase of positive cases in the country.
Magno, who uses the social media platforms like TikTok to spread her ideas, took a swipe at Filipinos wearing face shields above their heads.
However, a netizen used a “reverse card” at Magno in a separate video answering the call of the DDS. The netizen uploaded a video criticizing Magno for calling Filipinos to wear face shields properly and yet she was caught wearing her protective gear at the top of her head.
This prompted Liza Soberano’s talent manager Ogie Diaz to take a swipe at Magno. Diaz sent a message to Magno to “practice what she preaches” as she was caught not doing what she is urging the public to do.

Recently, Magno has tried to cancel empowered women whose ideas contradict her own. She earlier attacked actress Liza Soberano for expressing her concern for the Filipinos who are yet to receive stimulus packages from the government.
However, the so-called “influencer’s” assault only received backlash as supporters of Soberano came to her aid, defending the concern of the actress as valid.
The Philippines’ economy is currently plunging as Covid-19 cases continue to surge. This Thursday, positive cases have continued to terrorize the country as the DOH recorded this day’s number at 8,773.
