Several netizens and social media personalities have poked fun at congressmen who were prime opposers of the ABS-CBN franchise application.
Congressmen Marcoleta, Remulla, and Defensor were thrown shade by netizens and personalities after ABS-CBN and TV5 announced its latest partnership.
Former Kapamilya news producer Nick Villavecer in his tweet said Marcoleta must be fuming following the news on Kapamilya and Kapatid network’s latest block time deal.

ABS-CBN and TV5 on Friday, March 5 has announced their latest collaboration which will bring 4 primetime teleseryes to TV5.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, Walang Hanggang Paalam and PBB Connect will now air on TV5 starting March 8.
This is not the first time that a Kapamilya show airs on TV5. In January, ASAP Natin ‘To and FPJ Da King started airing on TV5 through Brighlight Production’s block time deal with TV5.
Meanwhile, social media personality Pinoy Ako Blog also shared her reaction to the latest partnership between ABS-CBN and TV5.
In her tweet, PAB asked about Marcoleta, Defensor, and Remulla with a laughing emoji, saying while they’ve managed to reject ABS-CBN franchise, the network just made itself bigger and wider with its block time agreements with A2Z Channel 11 and TV5.

Netizen @SocialHugotera in a reply to Villavecer also poked fun at Marcoleta saying he must be fuming in anger together with his cohorts Defensor and Remulla.

Marcoleta, Remulla, Defensor are the 3 main opposers of the ABS-CBN franchise application during its hearing last year. The 3 are the ones who grilled and even mocked the ABS-CBN executives to appear they have a good case against the network.
After several marathon hearings, no violations were proven as several government agencies vouched that ABS-CBN has no gross violation of their franchise.
