ABS-CBN noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ really made a good decision on adding Kim Chiu as one of the hosts.
Kim is a good sport and she blends well with the ‘It’s Showtime’ family, allowing them to deliver more fun to the audience.
Her enthusiasm was exhibited when Ryan Bang portrayed her in an opening number that was originally aired in January and was replayed on Friday, March 19.
The ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts agreed with Vice Ganda who labeled Ryan’s portrayal as ‘hair-raising.’
Ryan then quipped that he is afraid that Xian Lim (Kim’s boyfriend) might fall in love with him after his performance.
“Natatakot ako Mommy (Vice), baka kasi mainlove saakin si Xian Lim,” Ryan said.
Kim remains enthusiastic about the joke about her boyfriend because she knows that Ryan is just joking.
In the same production number, Kim portrayed Jhong Hilario. Kim noted that she had a hard time with their performance, the same with Ryan.
“Mahirap, parang kame ni Ryan ‘yung dehado dito ah,” she said.
Vice Ganda then requested Kim to repeat Jhong’s moves. She refused at first but she eventually showed some dance skills again.
Jhong then challenged her to do another breakdance routine but this time she totally refused.
“Siya kasi walang hinaharap, ako merong hinaharap,” Kim reasoned out.
“Hindi naman padapa ah, palikod lang,” Vice replied.
“Masakit Mama,” Kim answered.
“Ang liit liit lang naman, nak! Maliit na issue lang naman!” Vice said, which caused the hosts to burst out laughing.
Kim is always game for things tasked to her. She also does not get offended easily by whatever jokes are thrown at her, that is why Vice Ganda admires her.
“Ang bongga niyang addition sa Showtime, ang sarap niyang paglaruan tapos ina-allow niya yung sarili niya na paglaruan kasi, hindi lahat papayag talaga,” Vice said.
“Yun ‘yung magandang dynamics sa Showtime,” he added.
“Ano siya, team player, family member, and at the same time she enjoys the show and she enjoys us. Nararamdaman namin ‘yun kaya mas madali kameng mag-connect sakanya,” Vice affirms.
