In an exclusive interview with LionhearTV, Pinoy Big Brother Otso alumnus Kiara Takahashi reacted to the launch of PBB: Connect.
Kiara said that the launch of PBB: Connect didn’t surprise her. She then added that nothing can stop Kapamilyas and that PBB will continue despite ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
“Ako naman po nung nalaman ko na may PBB na season 9, hindi ako nagulat. Hindi ako nagulat kasi parang ‘yung naramdaman ko, yung naisip ko nun, nothing can stop Kapamilyas; nothing can stop us. Parang, you know we will (still) continue, and the PBB will (still) continue,” said Kiara.
Kiara also added that PBB: Connect’s launch was perfect timing because of the lockdowns brought upon by the pandemic. She then recalled her experience as a housemate during PBB: Otso.
“And I think it’s the perfect timing nga eh kasi lockdown naman lahat eh lockdown naman ‘yung mga housemates dun parang ganon, just like all safe sila. Pero masaya kasi may bagong season tapos alam mo yung feeling na pag nanonood ka parang “ay napagdaanan ko ‘yan, ay magsusuot sila ng lapelle, nagsuot din kami ng lapel,” said Kiara.
Kiara finally highlighted her excitement on the upcoming Big Night of PBB: Connect. She also hints at her interest in meeting the current housemates of PBB: Connect.
“And I’m excited for the big night grabe parang akalain mo, kakagawa lang namin nung kanta tapos Big Night naman na, so I’m really excited, and I’m excited for the housemates and (for) them na pag labas nila ‘yun nga ma-experience nila na ‘yung ito. Yung ganito when it comes to this industry. And I wanna (want to) meet them also,” said Kiara.
Kiara and fellow PBB Otso Alumni Jem Macatuno, Shawntel Cruz, and Lie Reposposa composed and wrote the song Connected na Tayo for PBB: Connect. She also collaborated with Shawtel on the song Reason Enough during their StarPOP launch.
