In an exclusive interview, Magkaagaw actor Jeric Gonzales shared his dreams of expanding his music career with GMA Network.
He recalled his Protegé days highlighting his talents in music.
“Isa din ‘yun sa mga dream ko eh (music). Tsaka ‘yun ‘yung strongest, strength ko yan ‘nung pumasok ako ng Protegé,” said Jeric.
He then added that he told GMA Artist Center that he wants to be an acoustic singer, release a single, and hopefully, have his own concert.
“Palagi kong sinasabi sa kanila na gusto ko maging singer, gusto ko maging singer na, or acoustic singer parang ganon. Dream ko magkaroon ng single and then eventually album and then concert,” said Jeric.
Jeric then recounted how music helped him bond with his father, attributing his love for oldies music to his dad.
“Naging ano na sa amin ‘yun, ni Tatay ko. Normal na siya. Parang ‘yun na talaga yung bonding namin. Kaya nga marami akong alam na oldies songs. Siya ‘yung nagturo sa akin. Siya ‘yung palaging kasama kong tumutugtog,” said Jeric.
Jeric started his career as a musically talented contestant in the Kapuso reality TV competition, Protegé. Now, Jeric stars as Gio in the series Magkaagaw, which is nearing its finale. Aside from the hit series, the actor also has worked on Kapuso teleseryes such as Destiny Rose, Kambal Karibal, and Super Ma’am.
