Kapuso star Jason Abalos didn’t bother to launch his tirade against the government with regards to its incompetent COVID-19 response.
In a series of tweets, Abalos slammed the government’s lackluster performance in addressing the pandemic.
In his first tweet, Jason shared Sen. Ping Lacson’s tweet asking where are the COVID-19 vaccines despite the government’s billions of loans.

In a follow-up tweet, he shared a clip of Joseph Morong’s report regarding the government’s vaccination program with the caption asking whether Lacson’s inquiry on where did the billion loans go was already answered.
“Nasagot ba ‘yong tanong kung nasaan ‘yong inutang?”

Abalos also reacted to another Lacson’s tweet on how the US is carrying its vaccination program. Abalos however quipped we cannot follow the US lead since we don’t have the vaccines.
“Wala pa vaccine sir ‘di rin nila magagawa ‘yan”

Abalos also asked about the government and private sector’s agreement about vaccine procurement. Jason questioned why did the government loaned so much money for the pandemic response when they are requiring the private sector to donate half of their vaccine procurement to the government.
“Totoo ba na kung isa kang kumpanya at gusto mo bumili ng bakuna para sa employado mo kailangan mong doblehin para gawing donasyon sa gobyerno ang kalahati? Wala naman masama sa pag kawang gawa. Pero bakit pa nangutang kung umaasa sa donasyon?”

Since Abalos also shared said that news about the government requiring the private sectors to donate half of their vaccine procurement is fake news, ECOP Chief Sergio Luis Ortiz Jr. said it was previously imposed.
Ohhh ito pala, thank you good Senator 🙂 https://t.co/fqyJbDAt2m

In a report by GMA News Online, Ortiz Jr said it was first imposed by the government but currently the government is not requiring donation anymore.
“Noong una ‘yun e, in-impose nila ‘yun, ido-donate mo pa sa gobyerno,” he said.
“May mga umo-order ngayon na diretso na, pero dadaan pa rin doon sa tripartite, pero wala nang donation.” he added.
However, AstraZeneca is an exception as confirmed by Presidential Adviser of Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion.
“For Moderna, Novavax, and Covaxin, which we are also helping under Go Negosyo Dose of Hope, no need to donate,” said Concepcion
“In the case of AstraZeneca, [they] had a no-profit program this is why a dose was at $5. We wanted to help the government medical frontliners and this is how we crafted the first tripartite agreement. And yes, it (still) stands,” he added.
Meanwhile, Jason asked everyone to help the medical frontliners by staying at home and follow the health protocols adding we cannot rely on anyone especially the government but ourselves.
“Lets help our frontliners. ‘Wag na muna lumabas ng bahay kung hindi kailangan para bumaba na ang kaso. Tayo tayo lang ang magtutulungan dito. God bless us all..”
