Janine Gutierrez continued to be grateful for all the opportunities coming her way following her decision to switch networks.
During the virtual media conference for her film, Dito at Doon, Janine shared that she found things in ABS-CBN that are not available in her former network GMA.
In reply, Janine said transferring to the Kapamilya network has widened her opportunities to work with different actors, which was limited during her stint with GMA Network.
“Ah syemre mga bagong makakatrabaho. Sobrang daming naging posibilidad ngayon na I can work with actors na syempre hindi ko makakatrabaho noon. So ano rin, with that comes new experiences talaga and new opportunities so excited ako.”
In January 2021, Janine was officially welcomed as a new Kapamilya artist following the expiration of her contract with GMA Network.
Several ABS-CBN executives joined Janine in her contract signing on January 15.
Prior to her transfer, she spent nine years of her career at the Kapuso network which made her one of the network’s top actresses.
Janine starred in several Kapuso dramas which include Dangwa in 2015, Once Again and Encantadia in 2016, Legally Blind in 2017, Victor Magtanggol in 2018, and Dragon Lady in 2019.
Meanwhile, Janine’s latest film Dito at Doon together with JC Santos is set to premiere on March 17 with screening details yet to be announced.
The movie tells the story of Len (Janine) and Carlo (JC) who both found love through online connection during the pandemic.
Dito at Doon is directed by JP Jabac and produced by TBA Studios. It has already made its premiere at the Osaka Film Festival on March 5 and will run until March 14.
