ABS-CBN’s latest inspirational teleserye Huwag Kang Mangamba is slowly but surely getting to the rating game.
Based on the latest numbers from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, Huwag Kang Mangamba’s ratings are on the rise while its rival I Can You See is on the downward trend.
On its pilot last March 22, Huwag Kang Mangamba managed to score a rating of 6.0% a considerably higher rating compared to its timeslots average rating of 2-4% previously occupied by Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin. Its Rival ICSY meanwhile scored 16.1% on its pilot episode.
On its 3rd day (March 24) AGB Nielsen data shows Huwag Kang Mangamba rose 2.2 percentage points to 8.2% ratings which translates to a 36% increase from its pilot ratings. Kapuso rival I Can See You, on the other hand, slide down to 15.1% or a decrease of 1 percentage point or 6.2% from its pilot ratings.
On Thursday, March 25 Huwag Kang Mangamba’s ratings rose again by 0.1 points at 8.3% while I Can See You is headed downwards at 14.4% or slashing 0.7 percentage points from its previous rating on Wednesday, March 24.
Meanwhile, it is also good to note the disparity between the channels where the two rival series are airing.
Huwag Kang Mangamba which airs on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, and A2Z only accounts for a total of 18 combined stations (16 for TV5’s owned and affiliates and 2 for A2Z) while I Can See You is shown in 60 different stations of GMA Network both on analog and digital.
Aside from rising TV ratings, Huwag Kang Mangamba also wins big in online viewing. This doesn’t include views from iWantTFC, WeTV, and iFlix which also carries Huwag Kang Mangamba’s streaming.
I Can See You, on the other hand, has combined Youtube views of 553 thousand for its first week, with the highest on its pilot at 109 thousand views.
