Heart Evangelista looked back to her Tanduay calendar girl days in 2014 as well as her emotional interview from the now-defunct talk show H.O.T. TV: Hindi Ordinaryong Tsismis.
In a series of Instagram stories on Thursday, March 14, the 36-year-old actress said that she “needed to do” the lingerie shoot to earn some money.
She posted a sexy photo of herself saying, “I can’t believe I did this. Hahaha! #Tanduay shoot in 2014.”
She explained that she only agreed to do the project with the liquor brand because she needed the income as her mother confiscated all her funds back then.
“My mom confiscated my money, so I needed to do this. Hahaha. Hirap kumita,” she said.
Heart also shared her photo wearing a polka dot brassiere and denim shorts with a sad and stressed expression.
“Literally wanted to cry here! Hahaha what an experience,” she wrote.
She also posted a photo of her wearing a red swimsuit but the photo wasn’t chosen because it wasn’t too sexy.
“This was my favorite but it wasn’t too sexy – so they didn’t like it,” she said.
Recalling her experience from 7 years ago, she said that she’s glad for the project but noted that she wouldn’t want to do it again.
“Looking back? Glad I did it. Won’t do it again though”
Meanwhile, she posted about her previous interview in a now-defunct show with Raymond Gutierrez which she described as a “painful interview” for her.
In the interview, she talked about the serious allegations targeted at her boyfriend then, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero by her parents Rey Ongpauco and Cecilia Ongpauco, who were opposed to their relationship.
Heart posted a screenshot of the interview and explained that she was able to overcome her struggles back then through the Lord’s guidance.
“After 7 years I rewatched this painful interview… made me look at my old pictures and struggles nobody knew about,”
“All I can say…. Thank you, God, for guiding me. I always believe in having a childlike faith… I finally got my happy life.”
She then posted a picture with Chiz saying that all the heartaches and struggles that she experienced in the past helped her be strong to fight for her husband.
“So glad for all my heartaches and sacrifices in the past, [they] made me strong enough to fight for you such a beautiful soul and my biggest blessings,” said Heart.
