Gardo Versoza recounts his nightmarish experience during the pandemic. He saw how fellow Filipinos suffer during one of his biking runs.
During the media conference for the Viva Films produced horror film ‘Biyernes Santo,’ Gardo described the situation he calls nightmarish, calling out public servants living in extravagance, despite civilians suffering.
So para sa akin isang malaking nightmare ‘yun,” said Gardo.
Gardo then recounted his personal experience handing out bread to a person who threw it away.
“There was one time pa na nagbibisekleta kami na may inabutan ako ng tinapay, tinapon ‘yun tinapay. So hindi ko alam kung parang bakit niya tinapon eh ‘di ba parang ‘yung itsura niya para siyang gutom na gutom,” said Gardo.
He then realized that the said person had dementia.
So hindi niya alam na ‘yung inabot mong tinapay, kinakain pala ‘yun,” said Gardo.
Gardo called out the half-baked solutions that lacked follow-through.
Kung baga walang follow through,” said Gardo.
Gardo is known for his charitable initiatives and his love for biking.
Gardo joins the cast of Biyernes Santo. Directed by Pedring A. Lopez, the Viva Films produced horror movie includes a star-studded cast with Ella Cruz, Gardo Versoza, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Andrea Del Rosario, and Via Ortega.
