Former Kapamilya talents Pilar Pilapil, Thou Reyes, and Clarence Delgado could only express joy now that they are with GMA Network.
During the virtual press conference for the upcoming teleserye First Yaya, the former ABS-CBN talents expressed their gratefulness to their new home.
Thou was surprised when he was offered the role in the teleserye. Nevertheless, he was thankful for the network for trusting him to give justice to his role. And with his first show as a Kapuso, being the much-anticipated teleserye, the actor is very grateful.
“I feel blessed and sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga bosses natin. Sa team behind First Yaya for entrusting me this role,” said Thou. “I feel grateful kasi yung first show ko sa Kapuso network eh napakaganda na kaagad.”
He also added that he is always looking forward to working with the cast and the team behind the show. It’s because of how good the working environment was, but also for ensuring that the cast and production team of the teleserye was safe.
“Everyday I’m grateful. Not just with work, but us working safely. Yan yung napoprovide ng First Yaya team,” he added.
Moreover, the actor cannot hide his excitement since the show will be his first time to ever work with Kapuso stars.
“Sobrang excited lang ako kasi it’s my first time to be working with everyone dito sa First Yaya,” Thou added.
Still, with him now being in GMA Network, he revealed that he just wants to grow his versatility as an actor no matter what network he is in.
“My goal in my career naman is to be able to work anywhere. I want to experience different roles and to give life to all the roles na ine-entrust sakin ng mga boss natin. It doesn’t really matter which network I’m working,” shared Thou.
“So right now, it’s a new chapter sa career ko. And I’m very grateful. I just can’t say it enough but I’m always grateful na binigyan ako ng chance, the opportunity to work with this production team. Thank you very much for the trust,” he added.
Meanwhile, his fellow actor, former ABS-CBN child star Clarence Delgado, could only say how fun it is to be working alongside the cast and production of the show. The young actor also felt that the network welcomed them completely by giving them this show.
“Super happy po ako na napunta ako sa First Yaya and sa first teleserye ko po dito as a Kapuso. And I feel welcome and happy po. Napakasaya din po namin sa set. And also makikita mo yung bonding namin sa isa’t-isa,” shared Clarence.
Veteran actress Ms. Pilar Pilapil, who, for 13 years, had done numerous shows for the Kapamilya network, noticed something different upon her return to the Kapuso network. According to Ms. Pilapil, GMA Network has really improved their professionalism.
“Well sa nakita ko, I always thought the people in GMA were quite professional. And I think I see a lot of improvement in their professionalism and their organization. Possibly because this is a completely different setup. And I noticed that they are more organized,” the actress said. “Nung una nagkakaron ako ng problema when it comes to wardrobe, etc. But I haven’t encountered many problems here right now. I think they are very organized. And of course, nothing is perfect. But so far, everything is good and quite organized.”
Thou, Clarence, and Ms. Pilar are not the only former Kapamilyas who are part of this teleserye. Joining them are Gardo Versoza, Maxine Medina, and Jon Lucas.
First Yaya will make its way on GMA Network’s Telebabad lineup starting March 15, replacing Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday. It stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.
