In the press conference for the upcoming teleserye First Yaya, Director LA Madridejos revealed talks of shelving the project amidst the pandemic. He also thanked GMA Network for mounting production amid the difficulties brought by the health restrictions.
Director LA cited the challenges they faced when mounting a production during the pandemic.
“Nadagdagan pa ng malaking challenge ng pandemic. Kung paano mo ima-mount yung eksena na with the restrictions na hindi mo bine-break nakakadagdag sya sa challenge,” said Director LA.
He then thanked GMA Network and revealed that talks about shelving the project surfaced due to the pandemic.
“Napakalaki ng ipagpapasalamat ko sa GMA, kasi nagkaroon ng usapan, to be honest about it, nagkaroon ng usapan kung ipupush yung show nung nagkaroon ng pandemic,” said Director LA.
Director LA also lauded GMA Network’s bravery for continuing with the teleserye First Yaya.
“Pero GMA is brave enough para ituloy yung project nang hindi nagsa-sacrifice ng mga eksena,” said Director LA.
He also lauded other production houses for mounting productions despite the costly protocols they need to follow. Additionally, Director LA thanked them for giving jobs to people from the entertainment industry.
“Tingin ko mas magastos po sya kaya nga sabi ko po kanina hands down sa GMA and sa lahat ng matatapang na producer na patuloy na nag pro-produce ng mga shows. Hindi lang sa TV kung ‘di sa internet. Sobrang thankful ako sa kanila kasi nag-lalabas sila ng mas malaking budget para magkaroon ng trabaho yung mga kasamahan namin,” said Director LA.
