There is still one year before the elections. However, many supporters have already started printing and posting campaign materials for their chosen candidates.
A tarpaulin printing shop went viral after it shared how they rejected a customer who tried to ask their shop to print campaign materials of Sara Duterte.
The shop owner’s decision gained praises from Netizens and by celebrities like Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee.
In his Twitter account, the actor lauded the shop after it followed the rules regarding COMELEC in printing election-related campaign materials.
Enchong thanked the owner for declining the customer, stressed that the action is a shimmer of hope in this trying time.

In line with the rejection of the shop was a video that circulated over the Internet–it was a 96-second video showing six industrial-size machines printing out tarpaulins that showed Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s face. Inscribed in said tarpaulins was the phrase, “Run Inday Run”.
The group behind the printing of these campaign materials was also the one who held a motorcade on EDSA on February 25. Alyansa ni Inday Movement was the mastermind behind the printing of tarpaulins which urged the Presidential Daughter to run for President.
However, Duterte-Carpio has stressed that she is not running for the Presidential seat. Also, her father has insisted that the highest position in the country is not fitting for women.
Still, the circulation of the video has sparked curiosity from Netizens as to how the printing shop became involved.
Netizens have discovered that the printing shop–Benjas Printing Services, in which the tarpaulins were being made, also took printing jobs for local and national government agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Now, this printing shop also took pride in themselves as they post on their facebook page that they are the official publisher of PNP. In their cover photo, it says, “2020 Official Publisher of the Philippine National Police”.
Also, they featured a copy of Pulis Serbis Balita, the PNP’s official newsletter.
Unfortunately, the image was taken down and was replaced by a company logo. But still, it trended on Twitter on February 25.
With the Alyansa ni Inday Movement using the so-called official publisher of PNP to print campaign materials for Duterte-Carpio, Netizens were insinuating that maybe, the government is involved in it somehow.
