Bringing back that nostalgic feel-good alt-pop sound, Dreampark return with emotionally charged ‘Time Machine’. Taking inspiration from the likes of MGMT, Tame Impala and Kate Bush, Dreampark combine modern styles with a heavy dose of youthful 70s and 80s pop.
Dreampark is a Nostalgic-Pop duo based in Liverpool. Members, Carmel Faraggi (Vocals, Keys) and Daniel Barer (Guitars, Backing Vocals) formed the band in early 2018, right after moving to London to follow their dreams. Deeply inspired by the old days (60’s, ’70’s, and 80’s) and naturally drawn to the dreamy world of psychedelia, the duo started to create and define their sound and style, experimenting with dreamy synths and twisted, yet catchy, melodies.
They came up with the idea of Nostalgic-Pop, which is all about that burst of nostalgia, mixing different elements, old and new, to create an ״instant memory”, so to speak. “Summer Storm”, their first EP (2019), was recorded and produced in full in their small East London apartment, then magically teleported to Yoad Nevo (Nevo Studios – Sia, Brian Adams, Pet Shop Boys, Goldfrapp and more) for a final shiny touch of mix & mastering. After consistently releasing music throughout 2019 & 2020 and building a hugely loyal online following, Dreampark now return with ‘Time Machine’. Speaking more about the release, the duo explained:
Time machine is about time, relationships and our relationship with time. What if we could travel in time and how would it affect our memories? At the end, time machine is about the irrelevance of time in the magnificent living experience of making meaningful memories.
They look to 2021 with positive energy as it’s set to be a huge year for the band. With their sights set on the stratosphere and ‘Time Machine’ set to drop on February 26th, we’re expecting big things from Dreampark this year.
