Seasoned actor Diether Ocampo clarified that he did not disappear from showbiz. He said that he was in training and conditioning.
In the media conference event for ABS-CBN Entertainment’s upcoming teleserye, Huwag Kang Mangamba, Ocampo is quoted.
“Hindi naman ako nawala. I’ve been busy lang doing my own thing.”
Then, he added that he was improving himself through training and conditioning.
“Trying to improve ourselves, in my case, I’ve been doing some training and conditioning. Mentally, and of course, physically.”Â
He added that he is excited about acting [again] in front of the camera.
“I was more excited to come back, come back (in) the sense na, magbabalik sa harapan ng camera. Dahil matagal nga tayong nag-ensayo.”Â
Diether also recounted working with the Gold Squad (Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin). He said it reminded him of his earlier days in showbiz.
“It’s quite a big surprise for me to be working with the new ones, yung mga ngayon ko lang nakilala lalo na yung mga Gold Squad. And, (I’m) very impressed. It reminds me so much of our early days in the industry.”
Diether said that the teleserye reminded him to focus on his faith.
“Dun ko na na-realize na mayroon pa palang isang aspeto ng buhay ko na hindi ko nate-train, which is yung my faith. Spiritually, I had to renew my faith.”Â
