Current Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro ‘Teddy Boy’ Locsin Jr., dropping his diplomatic cloak for a moment, came to Kris Aquino’s defense against her detractors.
On Sunday, March 21, the actress-host drew the attention of the online community when she uploaded a 25-minute video on her social media accounts (both facebook and Instagram) in response to the harsh criticisms directed at her family.
The video’s caption implied that she knew of trolls and bloggers who were paid to target her sons.
Aquino appeared to be pointing that the attacks on her and her sons were motivated by political motives.
However, the Queen of All-Media insisted that the current President has nothing to do with the criticisms leveled at her.
She even cited that although Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr., whom she described as a close family friend, is working under President Duterte’s administration, their friendship remains intact.
“In the current Duterte cabinet, Secretary of Finance Sonny Dominguez and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teddy Boy Locsin continue to have my unwavering respect,” Aquino said in her tell-all video.
“Teddy Boy and I are textmates. Obvious ba? ‘Pag may bumanat sa akin, Teddy Boy goes ballistic on twitter. There are friendships too deep para ma-taint ng pulitika.”
Locsin has been a strong supporter of Kris Aquino since the beginning.
He served as a Presidential speechwriter and legal adviser to Aquino’s mother, the late former President Corazon Aquino.
Amid Aquino’s recent battle, Locsin was ready to show his support once more.
The current Foreign Affairs Secretary praised Aquino for being “gold” and “brave” unlike her critics, whom he described as “cowards” and “nobodies.”
“You are gold Kris and brave unlike your detractors who are cowards, none of them have ever been in firefights like you and I. I can tell real fighters from make-believe. But don’t be so upset.
“They are nobodies in every sense,” he tweeted last Sunday night.

In another tweet on Monday, Locsin even called Aquino’s critics, “Total idiots.”

He also responded to a netizen who admired Aquino for being a girl with a big heart, even though she was often misunderstood by the people.

According to a news entity posted on their twitter account, Locsin seemed to take time out from his serious tweets to defend Kris Aquino against her online bashers.
The secretary, however, retweeted the post, clarifying that his tweet to Aquino was the most serious tweet he had since joining twitter.
He said that it was Aquino’s late mother who entrusted her to protect Kris Aquino, and that obligation is still much alive.
“No, I didn’t skip ‘serious’ tweets; my tweet to Kris is my most serious tweet since I started on twitter. That girl was put under my protection by her mother and that obligation outlived her,” said Locsin.

Kris Aquino took to Instagram to express her gratitude to her good friend, Locsin.
She posted a screenshot of Locsin’s tweet on March 23.
Aquino shared some lines from the song “One Friend” by Dan Seals.
She wrote, “‘If I had only one friend left, I’d want it to be YOU…’ THANK YOU.”
