Last weekend’s photographs of long-rumored couple Coco Martin and Julia Montes recently became a hot topic on social media.
Martin and Montes did not escape the roving eyes of some Netizens after they were spotted together in an arrival area of a local airport on Sunday, March 21.
In the photographs, they wore matching white polo tops and their bucket hats matched the color of their trousers, the man in black and the lady in brown.
Although Coco and Julia wore face masks and tinted face shields, they were still recognized by those who saw them.
The rumored couple was reportedly bound to Boracay.
Julia’s fan page on Instagram uploaded a series of photos with a caption, “Coco and Julia spotted in Boracay! This made my heart jump for joy and happiness. Enjoy your vacation our dearest Cocojul.”

Fans of the two Kapamilya celebrities were thrilled with the latest sighting of the two.
It was also revealed on Montes’s other fan page that the trip was a post-birthday celebration getaway, as Julia turned 26 on March 19.
“BORACAY BIRTHDAY TRIP YES!!!! Enjoy, lovebirds!!! May we see more of your twinning outfits from this very special trip,” the caption wrote, accompanied with the hashtags #juliamontes, #cocomartin, and #cocojul.

Martin and Montes also posted pictures on their respective Lyka accounts that matched the outfits they wore in their airport photographs.
Was this a sign that Coco and Julia are going public with their rumored long-rumored romance?
The two have been linked for quite a long time now, but neither of them has confirmed or denied the rumored relationship.
Julia recently rekindled her fans’ curiosity by defining her ideal man on one of Dimples Romana‘s husband Boyet Ahmee‘s YouTube vlogs.
In the video, they had the lie detector challenge where the young actress preferred ‘leather jacket’, ‘moreno’, ‘sakto lang’, ‘makata’, and ‘probinsyano’. Netizens thought that her choices pointed out Martin’s close description as her ideal man.
In November 2020, Netizens noticed Julia’s ring on her finger after the actress posted an image of her preparing food on her Instagram page. Netizens speculated that it was an engagement ring from Coco.
Martin and Montes first appeared together onscreen in the drama series Walang Hanggan in 2012.
In 2013, they worked in a romantic-drama film A Moment in Time, following the success of their preeminent team-up in Walang Hanggan.
The two proved their onscreen chemistry, making them a television love team.
They reunited anew in 2014 via primetime show Ikaw Lamang, which also starred Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca. Both also appeared in Wansapanataym‘s Yamishita’s Treasures in 2015.
Dating rumors started circulating in the same year. However, they went on to do separate television and film projects.
In October 2016, when a rumor circulated about Coco urging Julia to leave Star Magic and move to Cornerstone Entertainment – so they could admit their relationship to the public. However, there was no disclosure between the two, and they chose to keep mum about it.
In December 2017, the news about their split-up broke out even without officially admitting their kept relationship.
During the same month, rumors circulated that Julia was expecting a child and had decided to keep it a secret by going to Germany.
Julia’s camp denied the reports of her pregnancy. They clarified that the actress simply went to Germany to spend more time with her biological father after fans discovered that she had already gone to the European country.
In a separate interview in January 2018, she addressed the rumors about her and Coco. She denied the public’s suspicions. It is because of their closeness that they are together.

When blind items of a young actress who gave birth to her first child in April 2019 surfaced, Netizens immediately referred to less visible Montes.
Reports said that the actress gave birth in late March 2019 at Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City.
