Slick and stylish, Brant Jackson is here to stay. His latest pop/hip-hop/R&B creation ‘Sacrifice’ is a chilled jam that is available with its beautiful video now. It comes off of his debut EP ‘Phases’, which drops March 28th.
As both producer and artist, Brant is insanely talented. With echoed synth chords and ornaments, ‘Sacrifice’ rolls along with simple drum hits and a subtle but booming bass. Backing vocals fill up the texture as the track progresses, and is expertly mixed by Brant himself. The minimal production works perfectly with his heartfelt lyrics and flow.
“‘Sacrifice’ is about dealing with the constant anxiety fed off the feeling of sacrificing relationships and time to get to where I think I need to be,” he explains. “But it’s also about letting go, and knowing that the best things in life fall into place when you’re not looking for it.”
The music video centres on Brant singing in beautifully lit and stylish backdrops, well edited and a good reflection of the track. It builds up to the release of his debut EP ‘Phases’, a strong 7-track journey through modern electronic R&B and slick hip-hop.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brant is a multi-instrumentalist producer brimming with talent. Growing up as a child of divorce music has been his refuge for years, and the love for it can be heard in every note. Now a successful artist in his own right, his previous release ‘Pull Away’ has over 30k streams on Spotify alone. And with the release of ‘Sacrifice’ and ‘Phases’, Brant Jackson is set for big things in 2021 and beyond.
