Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo revealed that she’s still open to accepting projects with ABS-CBN after she allegedly backed off from a series with Richard Gutierrez.
It can be recalled that before the pandemic started and the shutdown of ABS-CBN, the Kahit Minsan Lang series had already started its taping and it was supposed to resume soon.
However, Star Creatives said that the series will not push through because it “cannot be accommodated at present because of the restrictive scenarios of shooting.”
Despite the released statement from Star Creatives, there are some rumors that speculated that the cancellation was because Alonzo backed out from the project.
Some netizens claimed that the actress backed out because she didn’t want to be in a locked-in taping situation which is the mandatory protocol given the threat of the coronavirus.
After she allegedly walked out from her supposed Kapamilya series with Gutierrez, Alonzo recently mentioned that she is still willing to do a project with ABS-CBN.
Though she has no contract with ABS-CBN–she is still open to doing projects with the Network.
“But yeah, as of the moment, I have no contract with ABS-CBN na. Nag-lapse siya.
“But if they would want me to do a teleserye for them, if the story is right and if I like the people I’ll be working with, of course, I will consider it.
“But right now, wala pa namang ganun,” she said.
Alonzo left ABS-CBN’s talent management arm, Star Magic, in November 2020 to become a freelance artist. She was with the company for about 19 years.
The 33-year-old actress has only three upcoming films lined up.
“Right now, I’m open to, of course, pitches, ganyan. But right now kasi ang meron pa lang ako, tatlong pelikula.
“So I have so much on my plate and parang ‘yun na yung nag-take over halos ng buong taon ko.
“But then, if an opportunity occurs, siyempre, I’d be open to it. Sabi ko nga, ito ‘yung year of being open to possibilities and being empowered to do decisions for myself,” said Bea.
