Now that Anak ni Biday vs. Anak ni Waray is nearing its finale and soaring high in ratings–it is expected that ratings will increase even more.
Does this mean Kapuso Actress Barbie Forteza is ready to take over the title of Kapuso Primetime Queen, now that Marian Rivera took a break from primetime teleseryes?
“Oh my God! No!” Barbie exclaimed.
“Ate Marian will always be the Primetime Queen. Nothing and no one can ever change that.”
According to Barbie, her current title as the Kapuso Primetime Princess is enough for her and she is more confident with this tile because she earned it.
“After years of asking me this question, I think, mas confident na po ako ngayon magsabi that I earned that title and mas i-improve ko pa po to be worthy to be the Primetime Princess.”
Recently, Barbie Forteza finally accepted the title that was given to her as the new Primetime Princess. However, she says it’s something that she wants to be humble about.

“After a decade with GMA Network, I am finally proud to say that I AM the Kapuso Primetime Princess,” she said.
Barbie Forteza is no stranger to the Philippine TV screens. Back in 2009, she made her debut in the industry at the young age of 12 through the local adaptation of the popular Korean drama Stairway to Heaven and has since appeared regularly on both television and film.
Her decade-long career has provided ample opportunity for her to show off her acting chops and make her mark on the industry.
“Talagang laking pasasalamat ko dahil sobra ‘yung tiwala na binibigay nila sa ‘kin. Para sa isang artista, lalo na ako, bagets, kumpara sa iba, baguhan pa lang din naman ako, pero kinonsider nila ako and binigyan ng title.”
Barbie’s acting career continued to gain speed, and her onscreen charisma made her the Kapuso viewer’s favorite.
Over the years, she has top-billed several teleseryes, making her a familiar face to many Filipinos.
Her famous roles included Nita Negrita (2011), Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin (2011-2012), Vampire Ang Daddy Ko (2013), Anna KareNina (2013), The Half Sisters (2014-2016), That’s My Amboy (2016), Meant to Be (2017), and Inday Will Always Love You (2018).
In particular, the pilot episode of Inday Will Always Love You was rated at 42 percent by AGB Nielsen Philippines’ TV audience surveys and peaked at 51.5 percent.
Currently, Anak ni Biday VS Anak ni Waray is consistently high on ratings due to the ‘pasabogs’ and plot twists that the show is offering.
It proudly shared and thanked loyal viewers for their preliminary rating data for the drama series, which scored 19.1 percent on Friday, March 5.
This week, the series included a major plot-twist due to the DNA test.
Ginalyn (Barbie Forteza) and Caitlyn (Kate Valdez) are both children of Joaquin (Jay Manalo) and that there has been a child-switching between Caitlyn (Valdez) and Ginalyn (Forteza)-revealing their true biological mothers.
