Now that homegrown Kapamilya star, Andrea Brillantes has turned 18 years old, does that mean she is ready for mature roles?
Recently, Andrea Brillantes did a birthday photoshoot and some of the images went viral where she portrayed a fiercer and sexier aura in her poses.
When asked if this is an indication that she will be accepting mature roles in her future projects, Brillantes quickly dismissed it.
“Hindi pa po ako siguro ready for more mature roles. ‘Yung nakita niyo na photoshoot, since wala akong debut, wala akong celebration, nag-isip lang ako,” Brillantes clarified.
Also, in her own opinion, she does not find the photos she released ‘sexy’, especially there’s a back story on why she wore red lipstick.
“Para sa akin hindi naman siya sexy pero may story naman kung bakit ako nag-red lipstick,” the Huwag Kang Mangamba actress said.
She then backtracked how her mother said that she will be allowed to wear red lipstick if she is already 18 years old.
“Kasi si mama, lagi akong nagtatanong dati, ‘Kailan ako puwede mag-red lipstick, Ma?’ tapos ang binigay niya sa aking age ay 18 so ito ang age na puwede na ako mag-red lipstick,” Brillantes revealed.
Just like any actress, even though she doesn’t want to accept mature and sexy roles she still hopes to level up in the characters that she will soon be portraying.
“Mas matapang na siguro ako, mas woman na, ganun. Pero sa totoo lang hindi ko pa kayang matulog mag-isa e,” the actress laughingly joked.
Brillantes is taking her place among ABS CBN’s prized stars since her Goin’ Bulilit debut. She has unquestionably maintained her brilliance since she first entered the local entertainment scene. She was a rough diamond waiting to be polished by life’s experiences and challenging projects.
Recently, the actress even shared one of the fruits of her labor. After nearly a decade of hard work, the 18-year-old actress has finally purchased and constructed her dream house.
As of now, the actress is part of ABS CBN’s inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba, where she portrays a blind teen looking for her mother. She is joined by her fellow Gold Squad–Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and Kyle Echarri.
