On January 24, a partnership was made between ABS-CBN and TV5. It started with the Kapamilya network’s Sunday variety show “ASAP NATIN ‘TO”. But their collaboration is not far from over as Cristy Fermin spoiled that the Primetime Bida of ABS-CBN will also make its way to the Kapatid network starting Monday, March 8.
Fermin revealed the news in her program ONE PH. The broadcaster also announced that beginning March 8, 2021, 8:00 – 10:30 p.m., Primetime Bida will make its debut on TV5. She also mentioned that all shows which were previously shown in the network’s sister channel, Channel 22 will now simultaneously cast on the main channel of the Kapatid network.
“Alam niyo po sa darating na Lunes, dito na po sa TV5 ang “Ang Probinsyano,” “Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin,” “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” hanggang sa “PBB: Connect,” announced Fermin.
“Itong apat na programang aking binanggit, dati po ay napapanuod natin sa bakuran din ng TV5 pero sa channel 22. Pero ngayon sa mismong istasyon na po natin sa TV5,” she added.
Recently, there were rumors circulating that ABS-CBN’s programs are coming to save TV5 from its primetime struggle. When the Kapatid network decided to remove its entire primetime line-up, it made the speculation even stronger.
And finally, the two networks have officially announced that the Kapamilya primetime bida is debuting on TV5’s main channel this coming Monday.
As a result, several Kapatid talents expressed their reaction to this news.
Kapamilya-turned-Kapatid Gretchen Ho took to Twitter to rave about the announcement of the networks. The celebrity host wrote that she was extremely happy about the decision of TV5 to allow ABS-CBN to air its whole primetime bida line-up.

During the end of TV5’s public affairs program Frontline Pilipinas, anchors Raffy Tulfo and Sheryl Cosim also expressed their excitement with the good news.
Tulfo cannot hide his excitement with the great news. With ABS-CBN and TV5 joining forces, the anchor said that nothing could top it.
“Alam niyo mga Kapatid, partner, super good news to! Sanib pwersa, Kapamilya’t Kapatid? Damn! It ain’t gonna get better than that!” said Tulfo.
Meanwhile, his co-anchor shared her favorite TV show of the Kapamilya network, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, which is nearing its end in two weeks.
“Yes oo! Ang paborito ko, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,” shared Cosim.
And with the two networks merging, Tulfo said that the ratings of the network should increase now that ABS-CBN and TV5 are partnering.
“Sama-sama ang mga malalakas! Bagyo, tsunami! Naku po good news! Ewan ko na lang kung hindi tataas yung ano nyan… yung mga numero-numero dyan. Kapag hindi pa tumaas ang mga numero-numero dyan, ewan ko na lang,” he said.
Starting March 8, Monday, primetime bida of ABS-CBN up until its reality game show, PBB: Connect will be seen on TV5, at 8:30 p.m.
