On Friday, February 26, ABS-CBN, through their event “Kapamilya Strong” has welcomed the artists who inked new contracts. Additionally, the network’s executives have given Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Francine Diaz, Donny Pangilinan, Arjo Atayde, and Gary Valenciano the warmest welcome possible.
During Donny Pangilinan’s interview, she was accompanied by Olivia Lamasan, Films’ Managing Director of ABS-CBN.
Lamasan then shared her personal vision for the network. According to her, she and the network’s goal is to entertain and share valuable stories with the masses. Moreover, ABS-CBN would continue its vision no matter what.
“You know, ang purpose namin dito is to entertain, to share good stories, stories with values. And that’s something that we will continue doing,” said Lamasan.
Furthermore, she is certain that the Kapamilya network would expand its talents as well as its employees. This is for the broadcasting company to be able to sustain its vision—giving and sharing important stories to Filipinos.
“Patuloy naming papalaguin ang aming mga artists. Patuloy naming palalaguin ang mga creatives at mga tao na nagtatrabaho with us. To be able to continue giving and sharing stories that are of value to all the Filipino people,” she added.
The director also shared the lineup for Donny. The young artist will have a short film together with Belle Mariano, which will eventually turn into a full-length film.
“And after that, we have this short film that’s Donny’s gonna do with Belle Mariano. And this is going to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. This is a collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board. And after that, it’s going to be expanded into a full film-feature,” Lamasan shared.
They will also have him star a very popular Wattpad story that ABS-CBN is about to make.
“Sobra kaming excited to have Donny. And we have a lot in store for him. Nabanggit niya kanina ‘yung ‘He’s Into Her’. It’s a very popular Wattpad story. So it’s a young romantic series to be starred by Donny, Belle, Kaori, and Reese, together with the rest,” said the director.
The projects for the young artist do not end there. Lamasan revealed that Donny will have his own teleserye soon.
“We’re not ending there. Of course, we’re also developing a teleserye for them, for Donny,” Lamasan added.
