Expectations are high as GMA Network is about to release their live-action adaptation of the popular hit Japanese anime Voltes V: Legacy (VV).
VV’s writer Suzette Severo Doctolero, who did figure in a scuffle with cartoonist Pol Medina Jr. [regarding the comic-strip created ridiculing Doctolero as the series writer]–is again hitting on another cartoonist Kevin Raymundo.

Doctolero, who wrote numerous soap-operas for the Kapuso network, was criticized by many after taking on the writer’s task of the most-ambitious live=action adaptation of GMA’s Voltes V: Legacy.
The writer also became popular on social media after she responded to her haters for making up theories of her possibly adding dramatic elements into the anime adaptation.
Doctolero takes on another challenger–cartoonist Kevin Raymundo. The cartoonist created a comic strip of the interaction between Doctolero and Medina.

She responded that she will not back down from the criticism Raymundo is hurling at her. Moreover, she stressed that her words could be fatal.
In the said comic strip, she commented: “Ayusin mo banat mo dickhead. Writer ako.
“My words are fatal. Okey na tayo kahapon [eh]. Akala ko ayos na. Nagsimula ka na naman. At iniisip mo uurungan kita?”
Meanwhile, Medina responded to the threat of Doctolero by creating another comic strip. The cartoonist poked fun at Doctolero’s remark.
Pol Medina Jr.
Ayos sa sampalan at sabunutan, dude ah (although may episode sa anime na nanapak talaga si VV haha)…

In said comic, famous world leaders used words to create havoc. However, when it was former Joseph Estrada’s turn, the cartoonist joked that Estrada did not use words but rather through text since cellphones were already a thing.
Writer ako. Let me check my thesaurus for synonyms of “fatal.”

Doctolero received criticism from the Netizens. However, many still believe that the soap-opera writer could amazingly write a VV story.
With her taking the heat, her facebook post said that she is not as ill-mannered as people perceived her to be. As a writer, she only defends her art, breaking the stigma that a soap writer cannot do live-action adaptations.

Maayos at may respeto rin po akong makipag usap.

Doctolero also reminded everyone that if they mess with the bull, they will get the horns. Raymundo and Medina did get the horns.
Moreover, it is normal for people to have high expectations knowing that the anime company TOEI has collaborated with GMA Network to create this live-action adaptation. Doctolero is indeed in a tough predicament when people tend to look down on her capabilities as a versatile writer.
