Bagong Umaga star Tony Labrusca reacted to the ‘baby tag’ on him by co-actor Cris Villanueva. Earlier in an exclusive interview, veteran actor Cris Villanueva gave his impression about Tony Labrusca.
Villanueva was asked on how he can compare Tony Labrusca to something. He couldn’t think of anything but answered, “Akala mo malaking mamâ. Pero pagka nakasama mo, ang baby niya.”
In the same interview, he also said that he was happy with Labrusca’s role in Bagong Umaga. Even when he played as a leading man in the drama-romance series, his young personality still fitted best for the said role.
In an exclusive interview with LionhearTV: Rawr Nation, Labrusca said that he appreciates Villanueva’s impression on him.
“Na-appreciate ko siya. Okay, kasi, diba kahit Asian ako, kahit papaano medyo balbas sarado. I mean na-appreciate ko ‘yung ganu’ng look and dating ko,” said Labrusca.
He also said that his co-actors in the afternoon show teases him because of being like a ‘baby’.
“Kasi nga ‘yung kapalit naman ‘nun sobrang parang bata pa rin ako. Na, ‘yun nga inaasar na ako ng mga kasama ko kasi parang baby pa rin,” the actor continued.
However, the actor said that he gets a little annoyed with himself sometimes because he has really no intention to always come off like a ‘baby’.
“Medyo naiinis ako sa sarili ko minsan. Kasi hindi ko intensyon na parang lagi nga akong ganyan, na parang bata lang,” he said.
Labrusca considered the matter with at least balance. He may come off like a ‘baby’ as a person but no less than his looks he still seems serious.
“Pero ewan ko. Siguro, at least may balance, kasi hindi ako mukhang baby. Yung kung paano ako as a person, parang bata lang pero at least yung dating, yung looks ko parang seryoso,” said Labrusca.
Bagong Umaga is already in a fast-paced story with big revelations on the characters’ true identity. DNA test results are to be revealed between Dodong, played by Yves Flores and Ely, played by Tony Labrusca to whoever is the biological son of Matthew, played by actor Richard Quan.
How did Dodong and Ely react to the results?
