Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre questioned people who put a stigma on plastic surgery.
In the YouTube vlog of Dr. Aivee Teo entitled “Upclose and personal with Nadine”, the actress was again asked about her being a ‘retokada’ because of her nose.
She then reacted, “Oh my God, why do people keep on insisting that I had my nose done?”
To set the record straight, she denied undergoing rhinoplasty because of her well-formed nose.
“I feel like it is puberty. It’s the growing up that made it look like (enhanced) but it’s real!” she said.
Dr. Aivee then backed Nadine’s reply saying that she should know it because she is her doctor.
“I believe Nadine! I should know, I’m her doctor, I would know!” she said.
“I don’t believe you had rhinoplasty. I’ve seen Nadine when she was younger. I know it’s the same nose,” she added.
Nadine then questioned those people who keep on labeling her as a ‘retokada’ (someone who has undergone plastic surgery).
“You can believe whatever you wanna believe, but I’m telling you now, I’m not lying to you that I’ve never had my nose done!” Nadine reiterated.
She then admitted that she has thought about doing it before but she chose to be contented with her looks. Dr. Aivee also believes that Nadine doesn’t need a rhinoplasty because her nose suits her well.
Nadine thinks that her transformation was caused by her loss of weight that naturally enhanced her features.
“It’s just really just this (referring to her cheeks) when this part was gone ‘to everything else became more defined,” she said.
“And of course, like I grew older. Things like your facial features and everything about your body, it’s more defined as you grow older,” she added.
On the positive side, she and Dr. Aivee quipped that her nose looks nice that’s why people accuse her of undergoing rhinoplasty.
Furthermore, Nadine sees nothing wrong with people who have had plastic surgeries.
“Why is there a stigma when it comes to plastic surgery? I don’t understand why people see it as a bad thing. And people use it against people who actually do it.
“You can’t really hate on a person who wants to improve how they look, and who wants to look good,” she said.
She believes that there is nothing wrong with it and they have the right to choose because it is their own body. So, people should just start minding their own business.
Dr. Aivee agreed with Nadine and added that it is a way for other people to be confident with themselves so, there’s definitely nothing wrong with it.
Nadine then said that if ever she will do it in the future, she will be truly open to the public about it.
