Actress Sofia Andres admitted that the father of her child, Daniel Miranda, came into her life unexpectedly as she was not looking for love back then and was a party girl.
The 22-year-old actress made the revelation in a YouTube vlog with fellow artist Erich Gonzales which premiered on January 31. The two had a heart-to-heart talk where Sofia talked about her career and her new family with Daniel.
When Erich asked how the two met, Sofia, who was 17 at the time, revealed that she and Daniel met at a bar. She said that her life back then was a ‘party girl’ who just wanted to enjoy life.
“Nung 2015. Party girl kasi ako nu’ng time na ‘yun and then na-meet ko siya sa The Fort. Hindi ko talaga ini-expect kasi I wasn’t really looking for anything like love life or whatever,” Sofia said.
Sofia explained that Daniel didn’t know that she was an artist back then. She said she appreciated the gesture of Daniel of showing concern for her and even waiting for her to leave the bar.
She also mentioned that she gave her number to Daniel right after their encounter in the bar and their relationship stayed strong from then up until the present.
“So na-meet ko siya. May kumalabit sa akin. Cousin niya pala. Sabi, ‘My cousin finds you pretty’. Sabi ko, ‘Ah okay’. Eh medyo tipsy na ako. So nagpa-picture siya. Hindi niya alam artista ako. Siyempre he doesn’t really watch mga shows here in [the Philippines],” she said.
“Tapos hinintay niya talaga ako hanggang 3 AM umuwi. Tapos in-oofferan niya ako ng water in the bar. Hindi alcohol. Tapos the next day, not for anything, kinukuha nila ang number ko. What I did, fini-fake ko talaga. Sa kanya ko lang binigay ang real number ko. That’s how it started,” she added.
Sofia revealed that she found Daniel cute the moment she saw him although he looked a little too innocent for her.
“Nacute-an ako sa kanya.”
“Pero mafe-feel mo na parang inosente,” she said.
“First girlfriend din kasi ako so mafi-feel mo na hindi talaga siya marunong mag-move,” she added.
She also said that her ‘party girl’ life is now over and that she prefers staying home now.
“’Yung sa mga ganu’ng bagay (partying), I’m done na with all that. Siya ‘yung adventurous. Ako I can just stay home all day ganyan. So, I’m really happy every time we’re out of town,” she said.
Admitting that Daniel was an unexpected blessing to her, she said “I’m thankful din talaga that I found him.”
It was in 2018 when Sofia Andres confirmed that she was dating Daniel Miranda. She only announced in June 2020 that she was already a mother. She gave birth to her baby girl, Zoe on November 24, 2019, in Sydney, Australia.
