GMA Network has finally revealed the 5 cast members of the live-action adaptation of the hit Japanese anime series ‘Voltes V: Legacy.’
The announcement was made on Wednesday, February 10, on the news show ’24 Oras.’
Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series that aired from June 4, 1977, to March 25, 1978. The series was produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise.
The series follows the story of the Voltes Team which is composed of 5 members who fight horned humanoid aliens known as Boazanians who invaded the Earth.
The Voltes Team could also unite in a giant alien-fighting robot when the team’s leader would shout the show’s catchphrase “Let’s Volt In.”
Kapuso actor Miguel Tanfelix was reported to play Kenichi Go (Steve Armstrong) who is the leader of the Voltes V team. He is a marksman, a motocross champion, an ace pilot, and the eldest of the three Go brothers (other members of Voltes Team). His uniform is red and he pilots the Volt Cruiser (Head).

He is the one who shouts “Let’s Volt In” which is the show’s catchphrase. The phrase is said whenever the Voltes V group would unite and merge into one giant robot to fight their enemy alien monsters.
Ysabel ortega will play as Megumi Oka (Jamie Robinson) who possesses extraordinary skills and lightning reflexes. She is the only female member of the team and has a calm yet alert disposition. Her uniform is yellow with pink accents and she pilots the Volt Lander (Feet).

Last Monday, GMA Network announced Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho to play the characters of Mark, Big Bert and Little Jon respectively.
GMA Network acquired the rights to make a live-action adaptation of Voltes V through Telesuccess Productions, Toei’s Philippine-based licensing company.
The Philippines officially released the first trailer for ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ in 2020 during GMA’s New Year Countdown. The second trailer was just recently released on January 14, 2021.
