The award-winning comedian and content creator, Michael V., can’t help but air his thoughts about GMA Network’s live-action version of the classic Japanese anime, Voltes V.
In his latest Bitoy Story vlog entitled DX VOLTES V (Unboxing & Review), the award-winning comedian couldn’t take the bashing that most netizens said against the upcoming live series.
He calls out bashers who, he believes, are actually impressed and excited for the upcoming remake.
Michael V. also hopes that the series will be successful. He is confident that with Direk Mark Reyes’ geekiness, this series will be a successful one because it was, according to Bitoy, has been the director’s long time dream.
While unboxing the DX SOC Volt In Box, the comedian recalled a certain episode of Pepito Manaloto where he got the chance to wear Steve Armstrong’s costume.
“It’s the closest I could get to the original series and now silang mga involved sa project, they are a lot closer to this legacy, so to speak ah.
Some Twitter netizens shared the reasons for their doubts on GMA Network’s remake of Voltes V base from GMA’s previous shows and even comparing them to other superhero series.
the reason why my expectations are low for the upcoming VOLTES V: Legacy is that GMA can't even do this kind of stuff with their other Super Hero series..this is a 2006 show and it's still 10x better compared to Victor Magtanggol in PLOT ACTION and SFXhttps://t.co/3dteM6I7uh

Bitoy believed that “Voltes V: Legacy” has a lot of supporters than bashers, and the production team could use this advantage to gather true fans of Voltes V to promote the live-action series.
“Given na ‘yung ka-career-in e, pero pag ‘di ka nag-enjoy, dun magsi-simula ‘yung problema and sana nga, pagsama-samahin talaga ng GMA ‘yung mga totoong fans ni ‘Voltes V’ to make sure that this project succeeds.”
On the other hand, some netizens are still excited about the remake of GMA Network’s Voltes V: Legacy.

Let us see if GMA can justify the live action adaptation. We had no TV set then so I just watched Voltes V in our neighbor's B/W TV when it first aired in the Philippines back in 1979. https://t.co/VlQReeGotT
