The ABS-CBN shutdown directly impacted KTX.ph since ABS-CBN Films Production Incorporated ran its operations, which means they were up for retrenchment back in August of 2020. However, due to the success of the Hello Stranger and its fan engagement event, KTX remained.
From there, KTX hosted successful online events such as BrightWin Manila Live and KTnX Ang Babait Ninyo for ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2020. Other groups had their launch events in KTX, such as TVDG, MNL48, Star Magic, and Star Hunt.
Black Sheep, the production team behind the BL series, confirmed the movie’s success. According to their twitter account, Hello Stranger The Movie is the Biggest Opening Weekend for a Film on KTX.ph.
