With GMA nearing its release of the live-action adaptation of the popular anime Voltes V: Legacy (VV), its writer Doctolero, has received criticism from fans of the anime.
Pol Medina Jr., a known cartoonist, created a comic strip to ridicule Doctolero as the writer of GMA’s adaptation of a Japanese anime.
She is a drama writer who crafted the story of GMA’s adaptation of the anime. With her denouncement most of the time and as tasked to be a writer for a live-action children’s anime, Doctolero is active on social media to defend herself against the hate she is getting online.
Recently, she took to facebook her reaction regarding the comic strip of Medina. She said that people such as the cartoonist should refrain from judging the upcoming storyline of her VV.

Ayos sa sampalan at sabunutan, dude ah (although may episode sa anime na nanapak talaga si VV haha)…

Moreover, the drama writer felt that she is looked down on by Medina as the writer of VV. She thought that she would add ‘sampal at sambunot’ (slap and tweak) in the story.
She then proceeded to attack the cartoonist by mocking Medina.
“Ano pa ang walang experience? At walang alam sa soap? Ang VV ay iaadapt sa soap opera. Sino ang magsusulat? Isang cartoonista na walang alam sa soap? (O kung anuman ang tawag kay Pol). O writer ng tula?” she wrote on her post.
Meanwhile, comedian Michael V. appreciated Medina’s comic strip where he was able to mention him as a better writer of VV’s story. According to Medina’s cartoon, the comedian should have been the writer of the live adaptation for GMA to stick to the original source material. As a result, Bitoy shared the cartoon stating that he was touched by the cartoonist’s thoughts and for considering him to be a possible writer of VV.
Looking forward sa pagputol…
Thanks Pol Medina Jr.!

In the meantime, Doctolero has yet to address Michael V’s appreciation of Medina’s cartoon.
