Since the GMA Network released its teasers for the live-action adaptation of the hit Japanese anime series Voltes V: Legacy, fans worldwide have expressed their interest in the upcoming series.
Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series that aired from 4 June 1977 to 25 March 1978. Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise produced the series.
GMA Network acquired the rights to make a live-action adaptation of Voltes V through Telesuccess Productions, Toei’s Philippine-based licensing company.
Japanese fans, specifically, have expressed their words of excitement for the upcoming Kapuso series.
Some fans wrote on Twitter that they watched the series since they were young and would like it if GMA also broadcasted it in Japan.

According to an article by GMA news, the singer of the theme song of Voltes V, Mitsuko Horie, also watched the trailer for the series. She said that she’s glad Voltes V is ‘still’ loved in the Philippines.
The Philippines officially released the first trailer for Voltes V: Legacy in 2020 during GMA’s New Year Countdown. The second trailer was released on January 14, 2021.
