GMA Network’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime Voltes V: Legacy has received criticism left and right. Its writer being ‘ridiculed’–one of the Network’s executives has something to say.
Suzette Doctolero recently figured in a scuffle with cartoonists Pol Medina Jr. and Kevin Raymundo after the two criticized the ability of Doctolero to write a live adaptation story.
The soap writer is known to be vocal when it comes to defending her work. She is fiercer with her current work on Voltes V: Legacy.
She posted her response to the harassment made by two cartoonists who attacked her and reminded something toward her haters. The harsh comments via comic-strips are too much to handle for someone involved in a show like Voltes V: Legacy.
Now, enough is enough. GMA Network executive Lilybeth Rasonable reacted to Doctolero’s post. Rasonable advised the writer to let the haters hate and let her work speak for her.
“Ang mahalaga, higit sa kanino man, alam namin ang tunay mong kakayahan. Hindi ka nila kilala. Napagsasabihan kita every so often to ‘chill’ because bashers gotta bash talaga,” she commented.
Even the executive received hurtful words that she understood what Doctolero felt and the weight of responsibility that GMA has given her as a writer. But one thing is for sure as she assured the writer that the management has so much respect for her.
“Ako man ay nakakatanggap ng masasakit at below the belt na mga salita. Kaya naiintindihan ko kung saan ka nanggagaling. Basta kami sa EG ay may mataas na pagtingin at respeto sa iyo at sa trabaho mo. Always. Maligayang araw ng mga puso, Kapusong Suzi,” Rasonable added.
Paunawa:
Kapag maayos makipag usap at may respeto:
Maayos at may respeto rin po akong makipag usap.

The fact that the anime company TOEI partnered with the Network should be enough to respect GMA Network through this anime’s live-action adaptation. People should stop hating and start believing like what the Japanese company did to the TV station.
The Kapuso network continues to innovate its craft in making fantasy series shows. The teaser is a testament that the Network has improved its visual effects. This Voltes V: Legacy, still not being shown–people should wait and see before judging.
