(February 2021) Pale Waves have today released ‘Fall To Pieces’, premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World. ‘Fall To Pieces’ is the final track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming second album Who Am I? ahead of its highly anticipated release this Friday, February 12, via Dirty Hit.

Discussing the single, frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie says “It’s easy to fall into the same patterns in a relationship, which can lead you to have the same argument over and over. ‘Fall To Pieces’ is about going through that constant cycle of arguing and then making up. It can be hard to break that pattern – sometimes you wonder if you ever will.”
‘Fall To Pieces’ follows on from ‘You Don’t Own Me’, a single that Baron-Gracie says is “for women about what it’s like to be a woman in this world. How society depicts, judges and criticises women on a daily basis.” Prior to this, the band have given fans a taste of the album with singles ‘Easy’, ‘Change’ and ‘She’s My Religion’ – a deeply personal single for Baron-Gracie who wanted to represent a same sex relationship between two women in it’s true form without hiding behind the cliches of oversexualisation or playful experimentation.
Last week, the band also announced their 2022 UK tour, kicking off in Bristol and culminating in a huge hometown show in Manchester. Tickets go on general sale on Friday (February 12).
