Kapamilya star Donny Pangilinan will be back on the ABS-CBN stage as he is set to perform in the variety show ASAP Natin ‘To this coming Sunday.
It can be recalled that Pangilinan was previously seen in the now-defunct TV5 variety show Sunday Noontime Live! (SNL). The program was produced by Brightlight Productions and directed by Johnny ‘Mr. M’ Manahan, where Pangilinan joined other Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, and Maja Salvador.
However, after only three months of airing, the show, bid its goodbye and had its timeslot later filled by a simulcast of ASAP Natin ‘To.
Before his appearance in SNL, Pangilinan was a part of ASAP where he was one of the show’s mainstays.
His appearance in SNL sparked rumors that he left ABS-CBN for TV5, however, Pangilinan strongly denied it.
In his previous YouTube vlog, he explained that he is joining the Sunday show on TV5 (SNL), but it will not be permanent. He still has projects with ABS-CBN’s He’s Into Her.
“Hindi po ako lumipat ng TV5, pero magiging parte po ako ng isang show tuwing Linggo,” he said.
He’s Into Her is an upcoming iWant series that he will star with Belle Mariano. The series is to be produced by ABS-CBN and directed by Chad Vidanes.
Out of all the Kapamilya stars, who joined SNL, Pangilinan is the first to return on ASAP.
The official Twitter account of TV5 posted a short teaser video of the upcoming ASAP performances by several Kapamilya stars, including Pangilinan.

Pangilinan was featured along with his He’s Into Her co-star Belle Mariano. It was also revealed that there will be performances prepared by Kathryn Bernardo with Daniel Padilla, Kim Chiu, Maymay Entrata, AC Bonifacio, Moira Dela Torre, Ogie Alcasid, and several others.
The 23-year-old actor-host also signed a contract with ABS-CBN once again in the recently concluded Kapamilya Strong event where six Kapamilya stars renewed their contracts with the Kapamilya network.
Aside from Pangilinan, Kapamilya stars like Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Francine Diaz, Arjo Atayde, and Gary Valenciano also signed a contract with ABS-CBN.
When the host of the event, Robi Domingo, asked what makes Pangilinan a proud Kapamilya, he answered “The spirit, number one. The people. Just the environment, it’s different when you enter this building so I’m glad to be here.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the ABS-CBN network who trusted him and helped build his career in the showbiz industry.
“First of all, I want to thank God for this blessing, I wouldn’t be here without him. Thank you so much ABS-CBN, maraming salamat Star Cinema, Star Magic for the trust and the support.
“I’m glad to be here. In my roots. Thank you so much ABS-CBN for giving me wings to fly as well.”
“I will be grateful forever to be a Kapamilya,” he said.
