The new Pinoy Pop group Alamat answered bashers who are comparing them to other P-Pop groups.
The group said that they are aware of the comments on social media. However, they are confident in showcasing the Filipino culture.”Kami, Super aware talaga kami sa ano mang ginagawa namin. And, confident kami sa lahat, like i-pakita talaga yung kultura,” said Jao.
They also added that it’s understandable that Filipinos have opinions, and as a response–they will show their abilities through actions.
“And, di po natin maiiwasan yung mga opinions ng mga Filipinos. Kaya, we should show it through our actions,” said Jao.
They also stressed that they plan to show Filipino talent through their music.
“And, our music, syempre, ipapakita namin kung gano kagaling yung Pinoy,” said Valfer.
Earlier this 2021, Star Hunt Academy launched BGYO with hopes of breaking through the global scene.
Before that, SB19 also expressed hopes of breaking through the international music industry. SB19 also became one of the widely-recognized P-Pop groups of 2020, with the group bagging multiple awards in that same year. Some of these were from the RAWR Awards 2020, such as Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Favorite Performer, Favorite Group, and Song of the Year with ALAB.
Alamat is a P-Pop group under Viva Artist Agency. They have nine members, with each being proficient in their respective dialects. Additionally, each member has expertise in singing, dancing, and rapping. The group consists of Taneo, Mo, Tomas, R-ji, Kin, Valfer, Alas, Gami and Jao.
