The new Pinoy Pop group Alamat revealed the Korean Pop groups as their influences.

In the press conference, the group shared that the K-Pop group Big Bang influenced the P-Pop group.
“Parang Big Bang po as a group para po bad boy, para malakas ang dating,” said Jao.
They also mentioned BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, Big Bang, and EXO as the K-Pop groups are among their influences, too, individually.
Then, the P-Pop group added that they only emulate the K-Pop discipline as inspiration, but they aim to promote Philippine culture.
“Inspiration talaga namin yung K-Pop sa disiplina, pero ang goal talaga namin ay mapalatag yung Philippine Culture,” said Valfer.
As for their genre, the group said that they are still experimenting. But, they assured everyone that every song they release has Pinoy elements in them.
“Ine-experiment pa po namin yung kung anong magandang timpla sa mga kanta namin. Di namin masasabi kung ano talaga yung genre namin. But, maa-assure na sa every song namin, which (is) may Pinoy elements. Yun yung aabangan nyo samin,” shared Valfer.
Alamat is a new P-Pop group under Viva Artists Agency with nine members. Each member of the group is proficient in their dialects. Each member has their respective expertise in singing, dancing, and rapping. The group is composed of Taneo, Mo, Tomas, R-ji, Kin, Valfer, Alas, Gami and Jao.
