In the press conference for the new GMA News TV offering, The Lost Recipe, lead male star Kelvin Miranda commented on people calling him the ‘Next Alden Richards’.
Firstly, he noted that he feels honored or glad that people compare him to a known personality like Richards.
Then, he acknowledged that the comparison between him and Alden does make him nervous.
“Pero minsan parang nakakakaba dahil syempre iba yung expectations pag sinabing Alden Richards. Iba na eh. Ibang level na yun eh.”
He admitted the pressure he felt on the comparison because Kelvin has just started his career.
As a result, Kelvin promises to persevere to meet people’s expectations, especially those who support him.
Earlier, Kelvin gained popularity after his role as Mark Santa Maria in the Netflix film, Dead Kids.
Follow Kelvin on his leading role alongside Mikee Quintos, Thea Tolentino, and Paul Salas with The Lost Recipe, weeknights at 8 p.m. starting January 18 on GMA News TV.
