Actress Therese Malvar admitted that she feared the possibility of her role being axed when the pandemic hit and halted production.
In an interview with the cast of the Kapuso teleserye, Malvar said that she received news that showrunners of Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat planned to downsize the cast when they returned for locked-in filming.
“Yung na postpone yung Babawiin ko Ang Lahat, syempre dahil sa pandemic ganon safety measures ako medyo natakot ako kasi syempre nabalitaan ko na magmiminus ng mga cast,” said Malvar.
She then added that she initially thought showrunners would ax her character given she’s a supporting role.
“Sabi ko ‘My God, sana di ako ma-eliminate dito ganyan.’ Pero yun, salamat miss Nieva, nakasama pa rin ako,” said Malvar.
The cast of the Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat started filming before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. However, they halted production after the announcement of the lockdowns and quarantines.
The pandemic pushed filming far into the latter portion of 2020. Thankfully, their filming has resumed, following the safety guidelines under the new normal and through locked-in filming.
As for Malvar, she appeared in Kapuso teleseryes such as Kambal Karibal, Dragon Lady, and Inagaw na Bituin.
Malvar, alongside the other members of the cast Pauline Mendoza, Liezel Lopez, Dave Bornea, Manolo Pedroso, Kristoffer Martin, Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi, John Estrada, and Tanya Garcia, stars in the upcoming teleserye Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat. The teleserye airs this February 2021 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
