In a press conference for the new GMA News TV’s, The Lost Recipe, its female lead Mikee Quintos admitted that the pandemic caused her to fear venturing out into responsibilities and relationships.
Firstly, Mikee highlighted her 2021 New Year’s Resolution, which included focusing on priorities.
“Ang New Years Resolution ko ay matutunan pa lalo kung pano ko matutulungan ang sarili ko na mag-focus sa mga importanteng things sa life. Yung pag-arrange ko ng priorities ko,” said Mikee.
For Mikee, every opportunity that comes her way is a chance to grow. She then said that she wants to see a braver Mikee in 2021.
“And, to see every opportunity na dadating sa buhay ko as a chance to grow, na wag na akong matakot. ‘Yon parang to be more brave sa kahit anong aspect,” said Mikee.
When asked why she felt ‘fear’ in 2020, she admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic affected her, but she wants to adjust her perspective this 2021.
“In general, medyo nakakatakot. Yun yung naging effect sa akin nung pandemic na parang nakakatakot na mag-venture into anything any relationships, responsibilities everything eh, in general.”
“So siguro yung pag-adjust ng perspective na tanggapin mo lang lahat ng bagay na dumadating sa life mo as something na chance to para matuto at para mag-grow. Maging bad man o good, dapat see it through,” said Mikee.
In 2019, Mikee revealed her non-showbiz boyfriend, but they broke up a year after. Mikee starred in Kapuso teleseryes such asEncantadia(2016), Onanay (2018), and The Gift (2019).
Now Mikee top-bills The Lost Recipe with Kelvin Miranda, Thea Tolentino, and Paul Salas. The series airs on January 18, weekdays, at 8 PM on GMA News TV.
