Veteran broadcaster Ted Failon expressed disappointment with the government’s usage of unauthorized vaccines for its personnel.
Recently, news circulated that President Rodrigo Duterte’s security personnel already received the COVID vaccine as early as September.
In the Philippines, there’s no COVID vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) yet. So, the inoculation of these Presidential troops is illegal.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana acknowledges this illegal use of vaccines however he assumes that this is already justified because it aims to protect the President.
With this, Ted Failon aired his sentiment over this unfair and illegal distribution and usage of COVID vaccines in the country.

Failon said that we do not focus on Harry Roque’s explanation of the issue and the details regarding these vaccinations. The main point is, the government can manipulate situations even though it is illegal.
“Ang pangunahing issue dito ay ang mensaheng nakakararating sa mga mamayaman, na pwedeng gawin ng mga taong gobyerno ang gusto nila. Kahit labag sa batas basta’t ginusto nila,”
No matter what reason or purpose, these officials will do everything they want.
“Ano man ang adhikain o dahilan, pag gusto nila gagawin nila.”

While other people are dying and suffering from COVID-19, who would have thought that others are already enjoying their life with no worries because they are already vaccinated.
The government’s objective is for the Filipinos to ‘heal as one’ but, how can we do so if there is a special treatment happening most especially with the usage and distribution of vaccines?
