Senator Bong Revilla Jr.’s ‘Agimat ng Agila’ will continue and finally ‘fly’ in 2021 via GMA Network Television production.
Since its first taping–the series finally resumed its taping in December, after 10 months. According to reports, Senator Revilla is a forest ranger in the show.
The production’s original plan was to air it on television in the last week of March or the first week of April, but everything changed due to the coronavirus pandemic. One factor that almost caused the non-continuance of the series is when former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., Senator Bong’s father, passed away and when Bong Revilla got infected with COVID-19 in August.
Also, the location’s change of climate is a major challenge for the artists and production staff. Apart from the frequent rains in their location, action sequences are difficult to capture.
Despite many changes due to strict enforcement of health and safety protocols, 10 months later, the halted taping resumed, his comeback was also affirmed when he was seen to take part on GMA Network’s Christmas Station ID 2020.
On the Senator’s official facebook page, shared how excited he is about the new show and its cast.

“Nagsimula na po ang shoot ng aking palabas na Agimat ng Agila na mapapanood niyo na sa GMA 7 sa susunod na taon! Ilan lang po sa mga nakasama ko sa shooting ngayong araw si Sanya Lopez at ang Agila sa aming set,” he said.
Along with him are Kapuso stars Sanya Lopez, Michelle Dee, Roi Vinzon, Allen Dizon, and Benjie Paras.
“Madami pa po kaming batikang artista na kasama sa palabas na ito. Kaya siguradong kaabang-abang po ang magiging takbo ng istoryang ito para sa inyo,” On the other hand, Direk Rico Gutierrez [as much as possible] wants the Senator’s come back to be as successful as possible.
“Dapat maayos ang lahat dahil comeback ito ni Senator Bong,” The series is said to be Revilla’s first program since his acquittal from anti-graft charges in December 2018. His alleged involvements with pork barrels sent him for detention for four years.
