Volleyball top brass John Vic De Guzman joined the Kapuso Network as a GMA Artist Center Artist. However, the young aspiring actor revealed that he already auditioned for the Kapuso network before.

In his exclusive interview with LionhearTV, he revealed that he had tried auditioning for GMA Artist Center back in 2018. Unfortunately, he was unable to get into the Kapuso network at the time.

“Actually, last 2018, nakapagtry na rin po ako makapagaudition, pero siguro hindi pa pinalad para makapasok sa Artist Center,” John Vic revealed.

Then, he added that during SEA Games, his camp received an invite from GMA for him to audition again. Thankfully, this 2020, GMA accepted John Vic into the fold, and the rest is history.

“And Last 2020, Last year after nung SEA games namin, nagkaroon ako ng contact, yung talent agency ko to GMA Artist Center. So nag-audition po ako ulit, pumunta po ako sa GMA nun nung wala pang pandemic. And sobrang blessed po ako kasi nung nakuha ako sobrang proud and sobrang saya ko nung time na yun,” said John Vic.

He also had a message for aspiring actors who don’t get accepted in auditions often. John Vic advises them to be patient and to persevere.

“Before medyo nasasaktan ako pag hindi ako natatanggap. But, then I realized na everything happens for a reason. Kung hindi man mapunta sayo yung role nato maybe, may mas malaki pang role para sayo. Mag-antay ka lang at mag-tiyaga ka pa,” said John Vic.

John Vic became known as one of the volleyball players from the College of Saint Benilde. He also played for the Philippine Men’s National Volleyball Team in 2015 and participated in the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

His acting talent became prominent with his role in the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival Entry, Seklusyon.

Recently, John Vic joined the GMA Artist Center back in September of 2020 and joined the upcoming romantic-comedy series, Owe My Love.
